There are two kinds of tubes that you can get your hamster and those are plastic store bought and homemade tubes. Both work wonderfully, but if you're on a budget then homemade will do fine. All you need is a paper towel tube; hamsters love them. Another great alternative is a hollowed out Slim Jim tube.

Boxes

Hamsters love boxes to run through and satisfy their need to chew. Tissue boxes filled with toilet paper, empty cereal boxes, and even shoe boxes.

Do's and Don'ts of Treats

There is quite a long list of what to feed your hamster and what not to. Though hamsters love these foods, feed them in small quantities, because your hamster might get wet tail (Disease, Sickness and Injuries).

What you can feed your hamster:

- Almonds (shelled)
- Biscuits (no butter) or dog biscuits
- Brazil Nuts (shelled)
- Bread

- Carrots
- Cashew Nuts

- Cheese

- Buttercups
- Cabbage

- Rabbit Mix (containing antibiotic ingredients)
